Trump, writing on his social media platform, Truth Social, said he is “looking forward to” meeting Netanyahu on Friday, and “even more forward to achieving Peace in the Middle East!”
The Republican presidential nominee said he will be hosting the Israeli leader at his resort in Palm Beach, Florida. He also attached a copy of a letter from Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas but did not mention him in the post.
In the letter, Abbas had expressed “grave concern” at the attempted assassination against Trump.
The relationship between Trump and Abbas soured after the former US president recognised Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and put forward a “Middle East plan” that the Palestinian leader described as a “disgrace”.
